Newberry County Emergency Services

Emergency Ambulance Services are available throughout Newberry County with the 911 Enhanced Emergency System. Each ambulance is fully equipped for all emergencies, with an advanced Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) serving on each ambulance. The central 24-hour EMS station is located behind Newberry Health Hospital on Evans St. There is a 12-hour EMS station in Whitmire and a 12-hour EMS station in Silverstreet. Fairview has a 24-hour station. 

EMS medical personnel observe South Carolina state field triage protocol to ensure that patients receive th appropriate level of care. When appropriate, patients are transported to the regional trauma care center. It is the policy of the service to transport for medical reasons only.
