Junior Volunteer Program
The Junior Volunteer Program is our summer program for students aged 14 – 20. The program consists of 2 four-week sessions. Students may request the June or July session on the application. Applications must be submitted by the due date to be considered. Orientation is in May and students are ready for work in June and July. Space is limited! This is an excellent program for those who are interested in a healthcare career.
Job Shadowing
Job Shadowing gives students ages 14 – 20 the opportunity to see a particular job within the hospital for three hours. There is required paperwork in order to participate. You may sign up through your counselor at school. All students job shadowing during school hours must be approved by the school.
Service Learning/Internship
Service Learning/Internship is an opportunity for high school students to work at Newberry Health during a class period for a semester and receive credit for that class. Students sign up for the School-to-Work program. Paperwork and attendance in our orientation program are required to be a part of this program.
